How to Use Facebook to Promote Your Articles

Published by hanagem under Triond, marketing tips Edit This

Facebook is a social networking site. Many people use it to find friends, look for long-lost friends, colleagues and even relatives. Yup! I use it to do this mainly. Initially I was quite fascinated with the different kinds of applications, games and groups that you can add to your profile.  They were fun and addictive. I wasted a lot of time on them.

But once I realized that they were not making me productive at all, I stopped completely. I deleted all the applications that were useless to me and did not help me add earnings to my pocket. I deleted them all. I left my writing site application, Triond, and Twitter to help promote my articles.

Whenever I publish new content on Triond, I will log in to Facebook to share it with my friends in Facebook and put it up on my profile page, so that my friends will know about them when they read the newfeed about me. You can add URL in the same way. So even if there is no application with your writing site, you can still do this with your article URL.

I also broadcast my blog in Facebook. I have added a newsfeed for my blog in Facebook, so that my friends can read them as well. Once updated, it will automatically capture new content on my blog. It’s a great way to get an audience for your blog too. So make use of Facebook, not just to play Sudoku or throw sheep at your friends, use it to promote your articles instead.

100th Article in Triond

Published by hanagem under Triond Edit This

I truly believe that it is a cause for celebration. I have published my 100th article in Triond. How does it feel? It feels so good. I have never thought that I would be able to create such a large repertoire of articles in Triond.

I know that there are some people who has written hundreds and thousands of articles. These are professional freelance writers. Although I have been doing this for almost a year now, but I have not reached that level as yet. It takes a lot of time and effort to push article after article on a daily basis. But if you love doing it, there will be nothing to stop you. As for me, if I can churn out one article per day, I would be more than happy.

At this moment, I’m taking a break from writing articles. I need to promote them more, instead of writing non-stop. I must look at the bigger picture, in terms of my earnings and reputation. I know that if I write on a regular basis, there are many people following my latest articles. Some of them check out my articles regularly. Others pop in my comments pages once in awhile. All in all, these are the people I count on for my pageviews. I love them!

I hope to be able to double this rate of writing new articles. 100 articles in a year (thereabouts!) mean that I’m writing one article very three to four days. I hope to write an article every one-two days next year. Let’s see if I can do it. All the best to me!

Triond Earnings

Published by hanagem under Triond Edit This

I have mentioned that I’m an avid Triond writer. Recently I published my 100th article there and was so happy. Yup! I have exactly 100 articles there, generating $10-$15 per month, without me lifting a finger. Well, alright, I have to promote them, so that they will still continue to get pageviews. But I have not added any more articles there, probably until next year.

I am also very happy to announce that I have received the money for my November earnings. It wasn’t very fantastic, just $12.98. I’m hoping that this month I will receive more from Triond. So far, I have more than $9 in my account there and it’s not the end of the month yet. I hope to generate $15 this month. I hope I can make it.

I have earned more than $100 from Triond since I started writing articles for them in January this year. Although I do feel that I could have earned more, but like most people said, earnings in Triond is very slow. I tend to agree with this view. Since I have already reached 100 articles at Triond, should I try another site to earn more money - like Associated Content or Helium? I’m still contemplating. Some people said that if I want to write more professionally, I should quit Triond. But I love the fact that it is so easy to submit my articles to them and they get published so quickly. I also get to see immediate results from publishing them. Earnings are updated every single day. Well, let me ponder over it.

Residual Income from Your Writing

Published by hanagem under Triond Edit This

Yesterday, I mentioned the importance of getting residual income from your writing. Triond is one writing site that allows you to earn continued residual income months and years after you have initially published that piece of writing.

If your article is a popular one, you may find that the number of pageviews of it increases rapidly. I mentioned that it happened to one of my articles and it has generated more than $50 since it was published. But what about my other articles which are not so popular. Some of you may be thinking that earnings in Triond is very slow. It may seem that way. Initially, with just a couple of articles published, you will naturally be earning just a few cents here and there from the miserable number of pageviews you get. But here’s the advantage over the long run.

If your article is one of those that is not popular and you only get a few pageviews each month, over the months, you will have equivalent to selling your article one-off at the price of $10 to $20. So you need not worry. In fact, if you had attempted to sell that article, you may not be able to find any buyers at all in the first place since the article may not be a popular one.

Even though I have been mentioning about Triond, it applies to other writing sites that pays you residual income each month via pageviews. I will write about other sites that do that soon.

Get Paid to Write at Triond!

Published by hanagem under Triond Edit This

I must say that I’m quite addicted to Triond. Since I started almost a year ago, I have almost 100 articles written for Triond on various topics. Some of the topics I wrote about were on writing, parenting, business, finance, and fun websites for everyone.

Triond allows you to write articles on any topic, in any language. You can also submit a creative writing work with them. They take 1-3 days to review your submission and tell you whether it has been accepted or rejected. If your work has been accepted, they will tell you where it has been published, usually at one of their partner sites.

You can then start earning from the pageviews received for the piece of writing. I like the fact that the minimum payout is only 50 cents by the end of each month and they will automatically pay via Paypal by the 15th of the following month, without fail. I have been paid every month since March 2008.

The best part of Triond is that you can continue to earn residual income from your articles for the rest of your life. I have an article which has generated more than $50 and still earning more each month from the pageviews. It is better than selling your article for a miserable $10-$20 to a publisher. I love Triond! It’s my number 1 writing site at the moment.
